Painting on silk can be so frustration. It was all flowing smoothly, then some black bled into the dog. Maybe I'm out of practice. Oh well. At least I know what caused it to happen.
In case you hadn't noticed, the subject matter is one of my favorites. I'll touch it up with some textile paint, and keep for myself. I might turn it into a pillow.

What a gorgeous silk painting! I think you should take commissions.
It's really beautiful!
I think you did a lovely job!
It's fantastic! Really, it looks like the black is just part of the dog's coloration - I never would have known otherwise! I think you did a fabulous job! :0)
Oh I love it! Beautiful!! I think you should do more! xo Michele
I think you did an awesome job. I didn't even notice the black, and even then, it just looks like the pups birthmark or something. We are all so picky of our own creations!!
Sue - that is gorgeous! It would make a lovely pillow! LOL - I too would have thought the black was just part of the dogs colouring. Also it enhances the handmade charm of the item in my opinion.
Sue- My explanation would be that it's a roughneck dog (like my tiny Gypsy) and therefore a bruise. (G has scrapes and scratches all the time and never tells me where they are from.)
