In honor of Uno, 3-year-old beagle, winning Westminster last night, I am sharing this necklace. Uno, was the first of his breed to win Best in Show in the 131-year-old dog show's history. My first dog was a beagle and I have a very soft spot in my heart for those loveable faces and velvety ears.

I received a request to do a Chinchilla design for my dichroic glass jewelry. I'm progressing on a couple new designs of these adorable little creatures and have also tried handpainting them on glass pendants.

Here's my first entry in the "Nibblefest Art Contest." I was delighted that it placed second. I painted it to illustrate a brindle dog and this poem:

My Dog Jack

My dog Jack is brindle and white.

He came to me on a November night.

He was found alone somewhere in Kent, part of his life had already been spent.

Unwanted by someone, I don't no why.

He so lovely, you wont pass him by.

I love my dog jack, we are best mates.

He watches me while i finish my plate.

Some for me and lots for you, that is what i will always do.

Now here you are Jack, I will do you no harm, cos in this house, is kindness and calm.
